The compact device serves to expand the DALI circle.
The DALI-2 expander is connected to the DALI circuit (DALI IN terminals) and behaves like a DALI ECG with a DALI address.
The devices connected to the output of the DALI-2 expander (DALI OUT terminals) form a DALI subcircuit. The DALI control gear in the subcircuit is controlled via the address of the DALI-2 expander broadcast. Bei Art. No. 89452937-DES, the devices in the DALI subcircuit can alternatively be controlled via Switch&Dim. The DALI-2 expander supplies the subcircuit via an integrated DALI bus supply, depending on the device version with 25mA or 200mA.
In addition to increasing the number of control gears, the expander can also be used to increase the cable length by 300m.
DALI-2 Expander is available in 3 housing variants: for DIN rail, ceiling recess / luminaire installation and box installation.
