This Christmas Eve we will be closed from 12:00 and we will not be open again until the 4th of January 2021. Please note any orders placed online during this period will be shipped on the 4th of January. If you have paid for a next day service this will also be shipped on the 4th.

Delivery Options
Please note, lamps are fragile in nature. High value items and some products, such as tubes, can only be delivered by courier, to reduce risk of damage in transit. Simply select your preferred delivery service during the checkout process. For your convenience we offer the following services:
Standard Delivery Terms
We are able to ship items by post to most destinations in the UK, using our standard UK Royal Mail delivery service, this normally takes 24 - 48 hours but we like to advise that it can take up to 5 working days. Limited to a max of 2kgs in weight. For items not received by post we would allow 10 working days before issuing replacements. Royal Mails standard terms for missing parcels is 15 working days.
Our order confirmation will show you the address you have requested the delivery to be made to. Please check and advise immediately if there are any errors in the address. We process your order within 15-30 minutes of the order being placed on our website. Overnight orders are processed within 5 minutes.
All orders over £90 (inc VAT) will automatically go on a tracked delivery service.
Certain items, such as fluorescent tubes can only be transported by courier due to the length and delicate nature of the product. Items delivered by courier require a signature on delivery. Please ensure that someone will be available between 08:30 and 17.30 Monday to Friday at the designated address to accept the parcel.
If our couriers are unable to deliver an order due to the address being unmanned, a card will be left asking you to contact them directly to make alternative arrangements. They may re attempt delivery same or next day and also re-card. If no contact is made within 3 days the order will be returned to us and a re-delivery charge will be levied to cover our re-delivery costs.
* Please note that all orders placed before 12 noon are normally shipped on the same day exceptions can occur during seasonally busy times (October to March) or on Mondays following busy weekends.
Northern Ireland, Highlands and Islands
Some parcels sent by Royal Mail to Northern Ireland, Highlands and Islands, may incur an additional delivery charge. We will contact you if this is the case, and you can either pay the extra fee or cancel your order. This typically only applies to long tube orders.
Next Day
If you place your order before 3:30pm Monday - Friday we can deliver next business working day to most UK Main Land destinations, excluding Northern Ireland, Highlands and Islands. Please select the method at the checkout stage. Please note our carriers deliver between 08.30 and 17.30 Monday to Friday and will require a signature upon delivery. We cannot leave the goods at your address without a signature.
Any order placed on a Saturday or Sunday with next day shipping will be shipped the next working day for delivery the following day, e.g. Shipped Monday for Tuesday delivery, excluding bank holidays.
Saturday delivery options are available at extra cost (see website). Please call the sales office to arrange a Saturday delivery.

Collect your urgently required items from our trade counter between 08:30 and 17:00 Hours Monday to Friday.
Europe & International
We now have a facility to send small, suitable, airmail packages to Europe and the USA costs are shown at the checkout. For long Fluorescent Tubes or larger order please contact our Web Team for information. For other destinations please contact us for a price, which will be quoted according to weight and dimensions of the goods required, as well as the final destination and service required. For overseas orders placed without the correct carriage option selected we will contact you confirming the correct charges. All goods shipped by Air Mail are at the Purchasers risk with no liability to The Lamp Company

If your order is international and the postage charge on our site is not sufficient we will contact you within office hours to discuss other forms of shipping.
Please note we do not have any control or any visibility on any relevant Import Duties that may or may not be applied to purchases placed and delivered internationally.
Stock Levels
We endeavour to keep our shelves full. However, occasionally demand outstrips our supply. In these instances, we shall inform you and if there is an excessive delay (28 days), we will give you the option of receiving a full refund or accepting alternative products (if applicable).
Payment & Security
Your payment information is processed securely. We do not store credit card details nor have access to your credit card information.
Refund Policy
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.
Additional non-returnable items:

- Downloadable software products
- Some health and personal care items
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
- Book with obvious signs of use
- CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
